Shocked.... but for the Good 😲 !

Cheers to the weekend! Last week, we hit a roadblock that kept us from reaching your inboxes, but don’t worry we would cover for it with two consecutive editions of your favorite newsletter, The Top Level Tea by Untitled.

Well, new academic year is well underway and institutions are thriving with brightly lit faces, packed classrooms and chatters every where. Confusion is what drives this season, seems no one has any clue! 😂

PowerPoint is dead 😵 , says SendSteps.ai

Making presentations is perhaps one of the most boring and redundant work that I know of. You have to spend so much time, just to choose what theme to use, what pictures to put, what color the background should be, mahhh…I just disklike it, and I think most of you do as well!

SendSteps.ai : AI has taken strides in various application areas and with the emergence of text based models like ChatGPT and image based models like midjourney, it was just a matter of time till someone combined the two to create an AI based presentation maker, SendSteps.ai in this case.

Use Cases: Well, where ever you use PowerPoints, Sendsteps.ai can find a use. More importantly it can make presentations interactive, so now you don’t have to use VBA to make interactive quizzes in PowerPoint. As students, this could be a great tool to save some time with assignments and gamify your presentations to stand out.

Bonus: Tome.ai is another tool you can explore if you wanna make a presentation quickly, though sendsteps.ai beats tome.ai in a lot of aspects.

Spotlight 🔦 : Masters of Scale 📈

Entrepreneurship is a theme that we love to explore here at Untitled, most obvious reason being we ourselves want to make strides in here 😅. Most startups figure out what to build and for whom to build, but what they miss is how to take what you have build to those who want it. This is the cliché conundrum of growth and scaling that every startup founder has to go through.

A similar founder, Reid Hoffman, cracked the code and scaled his venture to be one of the biggest social networks to ever exist, LinkedIn. Masters of Scale is Hoffman’s voice on how he did this or how some of the most known founders of out time did it.

Hosted by the brilliant Reid Hoffman, the podcast brings you unconventional theories on business scaling, offering fresh perspectives on growth. Candid discussions on entrepreneurship, leadership, fundraising, and personal growth will leave you enriched with valuable insights.

FYI : You can’t moss the "Rapid Response" episodes, trust me you will find gold in there.

Intern Insider 🎓️: Shocked but for the Good 😲 !

This time we have someone very special in here, Abdul Ghani, student at SRCC, an intern at Bzaar ( a $4 Million dollar funded startup) and the first community member of Untitled to bag an internship. He shares his experience working at a high growth startup and things that changed for him since then. (This is an edited excerpt)

1. What things came as a shocker to you when you first started your internship?

We all know internships or work experience is drastically different from what your college life would have been. Naturally, there are many shockers that you face once you kick off your professional journey such as high level of accountability and ownership of work, work pressure and a ever continuing time crunch. Interesting, not all shockers need to be on the unfavorable side. You might be shocked by the open communication exercised by the company, the understanding of your team or “the cool and flexible corporate environment” as Abdul says it.

2. You have managed a hybrid internship with your college going on at the same time, so how difficult is it to manage both the things and will you recommend anyone to go for a hybrid role along with the college?

For people who might not know, there are completely remote internships where you work from your home, onsite internships where you have to go the office everyday and then hybrid which is a mix of both, somedays work from home, others from the office. As a college student, onsite internships become impossible unless it’s a summer internship. However, hybrid poses an interesting alternative. You get the best of both worlds, enjoying college life while also experiencing the corporate culture. But not everything is a bed of roses, “it was difficult to manage college and internship simultaneously”, Abdul mentioned about his experience. “You’ll gonna miss many college things” he recounts from his experience, so consider this well before before choosing any role.
