1. What are a few things you wish you would have known before starting internships?

When I began my internship, what took me by surprise was the level of freedom I enjoyed. I had the autonomy to select the topics for my writing, and my working hours were remarkably flexible. What stood out the most was the accessible and supportive leadership. They not only valued the company's growth but also placed a strong emphasis on my personal development. This culture of trust and encouragement made my internship experience exceptionally empowering and rewarding.

2. What are a few things you wish you would have known before starting internships?

Before jumping into internships, there are some valuable insights I wish I had known. Start by upskilling yourself in areas of genuine interest before approaching companies. Additionally, crafting a flexible schedule that allows you to balance multiple tasks without feeling overwhelmed is vital. Lastly, it's essential to adopt a growth mindset, setting the stage for continuous learning and personal development right from the beginning. These insights can lead to a more manageable, fulfilling, and less stressful internship experience.

3. How do you think can people make the most use of their internships?

Having clear goals for your internship can really elevate the experience. It worked wonders for me, as I was actually tasked with creating a list of what I wanted to learn from the internship. Viewing the internship as a chance for personal growth, rather than just a CV booster, is vital. It's about seeing it as an opportunity to learn and develop, which can make the experience all the more enriching.
